Thieves stole a purse containing 100 gm of valuables, worth Rs 2.14 lakh, from an AC coach of Jaipur-Mysore Express on Tuesday. According to complainant Pushpalata Sagar, a resident of Mysore, the incident took place when the train halted at Nagpur railway station.
The victim and five relatives, were heading to Mysore in B2 coach. Her seat was close to the exit. Sagar alleged that around 2 pm, after the train halted at Nagpur, her friends went to have a cup of tea while she went to bring back her cell phone that was charging in the next coach. When she returned, her bag was missing. She raised an alarm, and her relatives tried to look for the robbers but the train pulled out. On reaching Ballarshah, she lodged a complaint with railway police.
